What is the difference between a Tesla-certified workshop and a regular one?

Asked by Customer on 19 May 2026
I am considering a local workshop for my Tesla but am unsure if they can do everything correctly. What is the actual difference between a Tesla-certified workshop and a regular one?

A Tesla-certified workshop has the training, equipment and access to original parts required to safely repair Tesla's aluminium body, high-voltage system and driver assistance (ADAS). A regular workshop often lacks structural-damage certification and cannot always recalibrate sensors after a repair. AutoIn has been Tesla-authorised since 2013 and performs all work to Tesla's technical requirements so the factory warranty is preserved.
