AutoIn Group expands further on Røyken

Published 2023-06-08 by AutoIn Bilskade AS

AutoIn Group expands - buys yet another property on Røyken for AutoFrakt's logisitics/PDI services.

AutoIn Group continues its growth by acquiring a new facility in Røyken Business Park. This acquisition aims to meet the increasing demand for transport, PDI (pre-delivery inspection), and car storage services. Additionally, a new workshop for structural damage is planned in the newly acquired building.

"We have experienced significant growth in Autofrakt, and the need to expand capacity has arisen faster than expected. Therefore, we are now acquiring Vekstveien 9, a 1,600-square-meter building with a plot of just over 9 acres, located only a few hundred meters from our upcoming facility in Røyken Business Park,"
Harald Rømcke, owner and CEO of AutoIn Group

The new AutoFrakt facility will be operational soon

The new facility will enable Autofrakt AS to meet the needs of both new and existing customers immediately.

"With this acquisition, we can offer services such as storage for over 1,000 cars, undercarriage treatment, modifications, transport, and PDI services. We are also planning for further growth with the possibility of expanding storage capacity to over 2,000 cars,"
Geir Inge Johansen, CEO of Autofrakt AS

Building for the Future

In addition to storage and logistics functions, AutoIn Bilskade AS plans to establish a new workshop for structural damage at the new facility.

"This enables us to handle larger damages from our branches in the Greater Oslo area in Røyken. It increases our overall capacity and shortens repair wait times,"
Harald Rømcke

Strategic Location

AutoIn Group has previously invested in a large logistics and PDI center in Røyken Business Park, with a price tag of over NOK 120 million. The strategic location in Røyken has been carefully considered.

"We have evaluated several locations in the Eastern Norway region and concluded that Røyken Business Park is ideal for automotive operations, also considering the upcoming infrastructure. This is an area that has attracted other major players as well,"
Harald Rømcke

Despite today’s challenging market, Rømcke is confident that the investment is the right decision.

"Investments like this ensure that we can continue to grow and meet market demand. Røyken provides us with the flexibility and capacity we need for the future,"
